In my first week at school I wrote a story about a girl that had a friend that was a whale.
The things that I did well were
good verbs
an interresting start that set the scene really well and introduced the characters
happy ending
To improve I need to
Not repeat words too much eg Baby whale
Include some more interesting words
work on the ending of my story

I wrote a story about Three gils that are going kayaking and they didn't know that there was a waterfal at the bottem of the river.
The things I did good was I used good words like SPLASH and grumbled.
The things I need to improve on are more verbs and more punctuation.
I think my work is about level 3
During the 5 week unit I have learnt to put more information and details in to my story.
My goal is to put more interesting verbs into my stories.

I wrote a report about Kaimanaewa horses and about how they are a pest to our native plants.
Things I did well were
I talked about the horses because I talked about how it effects the native bush. I used objective language which means I didn't judge, I put down facts.
I put why it was a pest and kept all these ideas in one paragraph
and I Put where they live and other general information in another paragraph
